Frank Solivan & Dirty Kitchen

Bluegrass Band

Happy New Year…

…with a different lineup and some announcements

It’s a busy time. Last month we toured the west coast from the Freight and Salvage in Berkeley, CA to headlining the Seattle Folk Festival . We had wonderful crowds at every venue. Thanks SO much for all the support! It was Danny’s first tour as an official member and Lincoln’s last. Lincoln wanted to start spending more time at home off the road… as you all know, FS&DK is really starting to ramp up. Linc is a dear friend and awesome musician. We support his next chapter. The whole FS&DK team would like to thank him for his commitment to the band and all the great music and shared experiences!

Our good friend Chris Luquette from Seattle will be filling in on guitar while we are in Alaska this month. January 21, 2012 marks the start of the 2 week “Way up North to Alaska Tour”.

Chris Luquette

Chris is one of the hardest working musician in the Seattle music scene today. You’’d be hard pressed to find another 21 year old seamlessly switching from International Music to Jazz and from Rock to Bluegrass so comfortably. He has even studied Brazilian Jazz with Seattle based Brazil music legend, Jovino Santos Neto. Chris’’ musicianship reflects the multitude of musical influences he turns to for inspiration. His acoustic guitar playing really stands out but this virtuosic, multi-instrumentalist is equally at home playing mandolin, drums, bass, electric guitar, banjo, and Greek bouzouki! In addition to his own Seattle based band, Northern Departure, Chris plays with Folk Voice band, Michael O’Neill and is a first call freelance musician. Don’’t miss an opportunity to hear him shred his Martin guitar in half when he’’s playing with Frank Solivan and Dirty Kitchen.PICTURED: Chris on stage with Rhonda Vincent
